8 Wisconsin Dells Restaurants That Are Sure To Please

Traveling around Wisconsin Dells is fun! An outstanding attraction here, a great water park there, but what about food? You’re bound to get hungry sometime between plunging into the water and countless roller coaster rides. Well, here are some great Wisconsin Dells restaurants that aim to please. Yes, there are tons of others, but this variety of restaurants in Wisconsin Dells is definitely a great start.

Monk’s Bar & Grill

There are so many great places to eat in Wisconsin Dells that it can be hard to choose the right place for the right occasion. For great food and a real, downtown-Wisconsin-Dells-dining experience, Monk’s Bar & Grill has it all. The menu is classic bar & grill fare with world-famous burgers and fresh, high-quality food that will satisfy any appetite. Monk’s is also famous for its historic, downtown Dells ambiance and is one of the oldest restaurant-bars in town. Housed in a late 19th century building, this favorite night spot has all the charm of the 1930’s and 40’s that make the days of Al Capone come to life as you sip your favorite cocktail or enjoy one of Monk’s famous burgers or sandwiches.

Culver’s

No Midwestern vacation should be without a visit to Culver’s–home of the famous butter burger–and Culver’s legendary frozen custard, taking fast-food to new heights. Wisconsin Dells has two Culver’s locations to choose from: One is right on the strip in downtown Dells, the other is close to the Grand Marquis Waterpark Hotel & Suites, conveniently located right off Interstate 90. Known for its superior fries, burgers, delicious chicken or fish entrees, scrumptious frozen custard desserts, and its friendly staff, Culver’s is an easy choice when a fast-food moment strikes.

Cheese Factory Restaurant

There are many traditional restaurants in Wisconsin Dells, but for a pleasant change of pace, don’t miss out on the Cheese Factory’s renowned gourmet, vegetarian fare. Located on the Wisconsin Dells Parkway close to the Grand Marquis Waterpark Hotel & Suites, the Cheese Factory gets its name, not because cheese is made there, but because its building used to be a real Wisconsin cheese factory. The remodeled restaurant has retained some of the historic features of the landmark while playfully incorporating a vintage 50’s and 60’s style, complete with a real, old-fashioned, ice cream soda fountain. It’s impossible to pick a favorite dish from the Cheese Factory’s extensive, all-vegetarian menu. Suffice it to say that everything is exceptionally tasty, made with care, and served with a great big smile.

High Rock Café

Among Wisconsin Dells restaurants, the High Rock Café gets top marks, especially with the locals, because of its wonderful and original California-bistro-style menu, fresh and well-prepared food, and trendy ambiance. Sitting high above the main drag in downtown Dells, The High Rock has views from your table, so you can see the sights and people watch from above while you dine. The staff is very friendly, incorporating good serving skills and just the right amount of attention so your needs will be expertly met as you enjoy your meal. And for a pre-meal drink or an evening nightcap, an attractive bar tops off the High Rock experience.

Uno – Chicago Grill

Uno’s is a classic, Italian-Style pizza establishment that has its roots in the Chicago melting pot that gave birth to many new forms of music, art and food. Back in the 1940’s, on the corner of Wabash and Ohio in downtown Chicago, Uno’s famous Chicago-style pizza was born. Combining wonderful, fresh ingredients and rich, Italian cheeses, Uno’s owner, Ike Sewell, transformed pizza from a snack food into a full meal. At the Wisconsin Dells location, on the parkway near the Grand Marquis Waterpark Hotel & Suites, you’ll find all the excellence of a modern, first-rate pizza restaurant along with the legendary charm and class that you’ll only find at Uno Chicago Grill.
